Today I'm going to talk about a very deep and emotional issue: child abuse. It's not something i like to think about but there's so much child abuse going on these days i just feel that it's an issue that needs to be pressed and i hope that one day it can be stopped completley. Young children all over the world are being abused. Either by parents, aunts, uncles, family friends or complete strangers and i think that it should be stopped now! It completley disgusts me that someone would want to hurt a young harmless and helpless child. Why have children if your going to abuse them?! Why would you want to harm a child?! What has that child ever done to you to make you want to hurt them?! These questions are constantly being asked by everyone who doesn't understand why there is such a thing as child abuse. I hate child abuse and think that those people who get caught harming a innocent child should be locked away for life and the key should be thrown away. Children's lives are getting ruined every day because of child abuse and even if the abusers are caught, those children are scarred for life. I know a few people who have been abused in some sort of way and the way they have turned out is not good. They are either constantly high on drugs, sleeping around or are a alcoholic. And i wish i could help them i really do, but the problem is that they have been hurt by someone for a while so now the only way to block out those horrible memories is to do things that are wrong, and hurtful in a way. Most people would say drugs or drink are not the answer. But how can you say that to someone who has been abused, you don't know how they are feeling, therefore we can only try to help those who have been hurt and hope that they try and forget those horrible memories. Child abuse is a very big issue in this day and age and it should be stopped now! I think that these days the government does have the power to stop child abuse before it gets worse, it's already spiralled out of control, how much worse will it get before something permanent is sorted. These children are our next generation. We should be protecting them against those who want to bring them harm, not standing back doing nothing. There are many charities that are trying to help children, such as Childline, the NSPCC and Kidscape. But these charities can not do it alone, they need the help of everyone else in the world and to be honest i don't think it's money that they really need, it's actual help they need to bring child abuse to a stop! There's also alot of sexual abuse, but it's not something i want to talk about, child abuse is hard enough to talk about. I would just like all types of abuse to be dealt with and stopped.
I don't think there's much more i can say on this matter, i have tears in my eyes just saying this little piece. I just hope that all the children being abused can find help before it's too late, and i hope the abusers are locked away and are never let out ever again. Please don't let these poor, innocent children feel that they are alone, please help them. If you are a victim of child abuse or know someone who is a victim of child abuse, please speak now. There are people who can help, i know you may you not think it but we are all here for you please just pick up the phone or tell a teacher or the police or anyone and your abuser will be caught and we promise you will never have to see them again. Please get the help you deserve. To everyone else i'm sorry that i have talked about such a upsetting issue today, i just wanted to get my point across and try to help in some sort of way, i know it's not much but just doing little could make a big difference.
