A Passion For Fashion

Fashion is one big circle. Things come and go all the time. When i was younger i remember having a pair of clogs (lol!) but then eventually they went out of fashion because that's what happens in the fashion industry. Alot of people like to follow fashion and whatever is in fashion they will go out and buy those clothes, but then when a new clothes line comes in they will start buying those clothes. These days i think there's alot of bright colours and animal print that people like to wear. I personally don't tend to follow fashion because i'm comfortable with my own style, but if something i like comes into fashion then i will buy it. For example the 70's clothes have come back into fashion this year. You have flared trousers, flowered clothing, bangles, long necklaces, wedges, leopard print etc. At the moment i  love this clothes line, especially leopard print. I think it's a cool style and i quite like the flared trousers because i find they are very smart and can be worn as casual or for going out for the night. Other people may not like this clothes line because they have a different fashion sense. Between me and my friends i think each and very one of us has different dress styles. I'll use myself and my friend Sian for example. Whereas i like my leggings and comfy jeans, Sian likes her skinny's, but we both love trackies. I like to wear pumps, Sian likes to wear daps, but we both love to wear boots, i like my cardigans and shrugs and Sian likes to wear hoodies and varsity jackets, but we both like leather jackets. When we go out we both like to wear dresses and heels or sometimes just wear jeans and a nice top. So see we both have completely different dress styles but we also like similar things aswell.
Now i'm not going to be sexist and just talk about fashion for women because that wouldn't be fair. So onto men's fashion. I will be honest i'm not really fussed on men's clothing this year because i find it a bit camp. You have loose scarves, thin v-neck t-shirts, skinny jeans, workmen's boots etc. Don't get me wrong i think it's a nice style and very smart but i think it's too camp and if my boyfriend wore something like that i think i'd laugh and ask him to change. But like women, not all men follow fashion and some have their own style, like my boyfriend does. He likes to wear t-shirts, jeans, trackies, hoodies, trainers for casual and shirts, trousers and shoes when he goes out. I think this style is fine and very original.
I think alot of people feel pressured into fashion these days because they feel if they don't follow fashion then people won't like them, but i think that happens mostly with the popular groups in school, college work etc. People shouldn't let themselves be pressured into wearing thing's they don't like. You should wear thing's that you feel comfortable in. Don't worry about what other people say, as long as your happy it doesn't matter what they think and if they can't like you for who you are and not for the clothes you wear, well then bugger them. So thank you for reading my blog and hope you enjoyed :) Would like to hear your views on fashion if you have any :D xoxo
